In my opinion we all need to protect ourselves when working with spirit or healing… now I know a lot of people do not do this however if you are working with spirit or healing, protection does help you not take on any feelings, emotions, pain etc from either the sitter or if you are healing… protection helps you not to take on the pain from the person whom you are either doing healing on or sending it too…
It doesn’t take a long time to protect… if you can visualise (this is my way of protecting, you may have other ways) gold swirls all around you … go with what you are feeling and really see and feel this protection around you… you can also call on Archangel Michael to ask him to wrap his Cobalt Blue Cloak around you in which you will feel him doing so… have faith and believe…
Another reason for Protection is if you are an Empathic… as all us fellow Empaths are basically like an open book and I truly feel is a Must! To protect ourselves when again working with spirit or healing. Even if you are at home and doing either hands on healing or Reiki it is very important to protect one self! We all have different views on protection and whether we should or shouldn’t do it however again in my own opinion it is a must!
One more reason to protect yourself is because there are what we call “Psychic Vampires” out there and there are people that honestly don’t know they are doing it but then again there are people who know they are doing this… Have you ever been talking to a person and suddenly felt your energy being Sumped from you? This is a cert way of knowing your energy has been attacked and just be very careful as this can be quite overwhelming…. I guess there are many things that we should protect ourselves from and you are best to make sure you have protected yourself… whether it be as my way of golden swirls or a white light or both or gold bricks building up around you… this will not stop you from connecting to spirit or interfere with you healing… it is merely precaution…
